With a long history of communication, signal, power & electrification engineering, China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. has formed a strong & experienced technical team. From 1952 till now, it has successively undertaken more than 80 "communication, signal, power & electrification engineering" projects for the main lines & dedicated lines of national railways. In 1996, China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. undertook the construction of Guangzhou Metro Line 1 Communication Project for the first time.At present, it holds a large share of the urban rail transit market. With the projects distributed in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Wuhan, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Suzhou, Nanning, Nanjing, Qingdao, Shijiazhuang, Lanzhou & other cities, its construction disciplines cover all strong & weak current systems as well as electromechanical systems in their urban railway transit. It has construction & joint debugging capabilities in highway communications, tolls, monitoring systems, electromechanics, security, firefighting & other fields. By stepping forward into the municipal construction market, it undertook the Project of Haikou Urban Landscape Lighting which was of new technology, high difficulty & strict security control requirements. Based on this project, it carried out research on urban landscape lighting installation & lighting effect control technology. Also, it signed cooperation framework agreements with well-known PV companies in China as well as school-enterprise cooperation agreement with Lanzhou Jiaotong University.
After developing & introducing railway electrification construction technology, the main products of China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. changed from the traditional "communication, signal & power" into "communication, signal, power & electrification". It successively undertook more than 40 electrification projects. In the 21st century, it established a high-speed railway technology research organization in a timely manner, completing the reserve of technology, equipment & personnel, & made full preparations for high-speed railway construction management. Besides, it successively undertook the construction of such high-speed railway projects as Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan High-speed Railway, Nanchang-Jiujiang High-speed Railway, Liuzhou-Nanning Intercity Railway, Zhengzhou-Kaifeng Intercity Railway & Chengdu Railway Hub. The electrified construction technology of China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. has achieved fruitful results. Firstly, significant breakthroughs were made in the field of high-speed rail contact system measurement. The CPIII coordinate measuring technology for ballasted track contact system was adopted for the first time in Nanchang-Jiujiang High-speed Railway, which achieved the accurate installation of high-speed railway contact system under the unfinished conditions of this track project, established a high-precision measurement & control system for contactless networks & throat areas of the contact system, & inaugurated new technologies such as synchronized fine adjustment of track engineering & fine adjustment of contact network. The research results have reached the international advanced level. Secondly, the measurement technology using the CPIII precision measuring network was adopted to successfully realize the one-time assembly & alignment of the H-shaped steel columns for passenger dedicated lines, which created a precedent for the application & assembly construction of overhead contact system posts for China's passenger dedicated lines & high-speed railways. In the field of "communication, signal, power & electrification engineering", it developed & formed 18 independent intellectual property rights (including 3 invention patents & 4 software copyrights) & more than 20 provincial construction methods.
