The Ethiopian Herald,one of the most influential English newspaper in Ethiopia, with the circulation of more than 9000, reported Gashena-Biblia Road Upgrading Project executed by China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. with the title of "Road Upgrading Project Processing Well" on the front page.

The 90-km Gashena-Biblia Road in Ambara state, with the investment of 1.4billion Birr, is processing according to schedule. The project starts at Gashna Town, crosses and connects Lalibela town and ends at the Bibila town. According to the contract between the Ethiopian Roads Authority and China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co. Ltd, this program starts from Feburary 12, 2014, and is scheduled to finish in August 13, 2017.

The best Resident Engineer Tesfaye Tegegn said: “the construction is 25 percent complete, and we believe that the contractor with seven years experience in road construction in Ethiopia will lead to the work completion on time.” China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co. Ltd Project Manager Li Weihong indicated that the project was processing ahead of time, and they had accomplished the structural and road excavation work as the biggest part in this project.
